Because Star Units are based on Standards which reflect more ambitious attainments they gain a better understanding of what is possible and of what they personally might achieve (either now or in the future).
In addition those learners whose outstanding work warrants the award of a Star Unit will gain the added benefit of:
- an acknowledgment of exceptional performance which gives evidence to employers, trainers, family and friends about their talents, attainments and their attitudes
- a critical advantage in terms of employment opportunities and further career development
