The Star Unit certificates themselves are currently issued by City & Guilds to learners who have met the relevant Star Unit Standards for their NVQ. Notification of the achievement of a Star Unit will be at the same time, following assessment, as for the associated NVQ.

Looking ahead it is likely that the Star Unit certificate will remain a separate certificate of acknowledgement from your S/NVQ, so be sure to present it to employers, colleges and training providers as evidence of your achievements.
